On the bus from Kelowna

By Shaheed Devji

The final buzzer has sounded on SFU's first road trip of the regular season and the Clan probably wish they had a do-over.

In their home opener, the Okanagan College Coyotes strongly bounced back from their first game loss to the Thompson Rivers Wolfpack with a 4-1 win over Simon Fraser in Kelowna Friday night.

Effort and execution were the buzz words from SFU management and coaches after the game. The team went 1-for-8 on the power play and gave up two shorthanded goals to boot.

Justin Mulholland took the loss for the Clan while Adam Butler notched the win for the Coyotes.

SFU has two weeks before they get back to regular season play. Next weekend they take on Eastern Washington University in an exhibition game at Bill Copeland Arena. Faceoff is slated for 8:00pm.

Stay tuned to the blog for post-game audio from tonight's game and bonus coverage during the week.
